Who we are

Caring Limbs Foundation is a Tulsa Metro-based 501(c)(3) here to help.

Caring Limbs provides arborist-led tree care to Tulsa residents, service agencies, and communities that cannot afford it, preventing hazards before storms and helping neighborhoods recover after them.

Tulsa sits squarely in the path of severe weather. High winds, ice storms, and tornadoes routinely leave neighborhoods dealing with fallen limbs, damaged trees, and prolonged power outages. For many households, especially those with limited income, overhanging or weakened trees are not just an inconvenience. They are a recurring safety risk to homes, vehicles, utilities, and people.

Despite how common these risks are, there are few realistic options to address them before damage occurs. City services are largely limited to emergency response and do not cover proactive tree maintenance. Insurance policies rarely cover preventive tree care, typically paying only after a tree has already fallen and caused damage. Professional tree services are costly as well. Removal or major pruning often runs several hundred dollars, and addressing a single large or hazardous tree can cost upwards of $1,000. Preventive work can cost just as much. For many residents, that puts safety simply out of reach.

We kept seeing the same situation play out across Tulsa neighborhoods. Trees everyone knew were a problem stayed untouched, not because people didn’t care, but because there was no clear or affordable way to deal with them. Insurance wouldn’t help. City programs were limited. The work was necessary, but inaccessible. After watching that pattern repeat itself, it became hard not to ask: why isn’t this being taken care of?

Caring Limbs grew out of that question, bringing together professional equipment, trained crews, and local partnerships to make essential tree care accessible where it otherwise wouldn’t be.
